All too often, individuals jump right into construction on the basis of a few vague quotes, some verbal ideas and no cost specifics. At Think Design and Build we believe you should be fully aware of what you are getting and how much it will cost. This is why our cost planning service is closely tied with design services.
Typically, a project will start with a rough estimate to guide the design. As the design approaches completion, the budget is updated and signed off by the client. A process of bids/quotes leads to a confirmed project cost. Because we follow this process, our construction performance to budget is generally within 5-10 percent of the predicted project cost.
Our budget process begins with a spreadsheet breakdown and culminates in a detailed, database- produced estimate. We track construction progress in the database to determine how we are doing, both in terms of your budget and schedule. In this manner, all the details of your project remain transparent- leaving you in control.
