Deck foundation options include the following
1 Metal Technopost
This is the preferable method as it is fully certified, budget friendly, and has a minimal impact on your yard. The majority of our decks are installed with these posts.
2 Concrete footing and sonotube
This is the more traditional approach which uses a large footing (3ft x 3ft) buried four feet underground. On top of this, a concrete pillar is cast to support your deck. Unless your project requires other excavation, concrete and formwork, this method is expensive and disruptive to the surroundings.
3 Other
In some cases clients are not able to identify where a septic field lies, or the location of underground cables, water lines etc. In these circumstances, we can evaluate whether an alternative method is possible such as grade beams or surface pads.
